Find Strength in Flight: Arm Balance Workshop
Discover what’s possible when you meet challenge with curiosity instead of fear.
This workshop is for anyone who’s intrigued by arm balances but hasn’t quite found stability, strength, or that elusive moment of lift-off. Whether you're new to crow pose or ready to explore more advanced shapes like Flying Pigeon and Eight Angle Pose — you’ll leave with tools, confidence, and a fresh sense of play.
In the beautiful, high-ceilinged space at MoreYoga Battersea, we’ll start with the foundations of Crow Pose (Bakasana) and use those principles to build into a range of arm balances — from Side Crow to One-Legged Crow, Flying Pigeon, Eight Angle Pose, and more.
What You’ll Learn:
The anatomy of a stable arm balance — not just how to do it, but why it works
How to recruit the right muscles: shoulders, core, wrists, glutes, and inner thighs
Techniques to float with more ease (and less struggle)
Step-by-step progressions for a range of arm balances
How to fall safely — and why it’s part of the learning
Variations and drills tailored to your current level
How to work through fear and find lightness through technique and breath
This workshop isn’t about achieving perfection — it’s about deepening your understanding, building confidence, and having fun along the way.
Hands-On Support, Always
You’ll receive plenty of hands-on guidance, personalized adjustments, and 1:1 feedback throughout. Whether you’re lifting off for the first time or refining a familiar pose, you’ll be supported every step of the way.
Why Practice Arm Balances?
Strengthen your shoulders, arms, core, and wrists
Build proprioception and body awareness
Develop resilience and mental focus
Learn to shift fear into playfulness and presence
Cultivate trust in your body — even when it’s off the ground
These postures aren’t about brute strength — they’re about connection, breath, and technique.
About Your Teacher
With in-depth training in anatomy and functional movement, I’ll guide you through each pose with clear progressions and practical insight. You’ll walk away not just doing more — but understanding more about your body and how to support it in flight. Expect a warm, encouraging space with room to ask questions, wobble, and surprise yourself.
