What better way to start your day than with a calming yoga practice followed by a delicious treat from the incredible August Bakery?
I’m so excited to be partnering with my favorite bakery and neighbour to bring you a special morning wellness event.
Join me on Wednesday, June 18th in the serene Ascension Hall at St. Barnabas Church for a 50-minute Slow Flow Yoga class. Afterward, we’ll take a short stroll—just one minute—to August Bakery, where you’ll enjoy your choice of a hot drink or a pastry, included in your ticket.
Think gentle movement, nourishing food, and great company—all before 9am.

Beginner Headstand Workshop
Headstand Confidence Workshop: Go Beyond the Wall
BOOK HERE - Early bird offer is ending soon!! Use code: EARLYBIRD by June 9th.
@ MoreYoga Battersea – A Beautiful Church-Like Studio Setting
Master the art of stillness when the world is upside down.
This workshop is designed for anyone who’s curious about headstands but hasn’t yet found consistency, ease, or confidence. Whether you’re still using the wall, popping up for a second before tipping over, or craving a deeper understanding of your body in inversion — you’ll leave with tools, knowledge, and a renewed sense of trust in yourself.
In the peaceful, high-ceilinged space at MoreYoga Battersea, we’ll explore the headstand (Sirsasana) and tripod headstand through clear guidance, hands-on support, and a strong foundation in functional anatomy — so you can move beyond fear and into stillness, strength, and balance.
What You’ll Learn:
The anatomy of a strong, safe headstand — not just how to do it, but why it works
How to engage the right muscles: shoulders, core, glutes, and beyond
Safe entry and exit strategies (no more flinging yourself up and hoping for the best)
The difference between Tripod and Sirsasana headstands — and how to approach both
Techniques for balancing without the wall
How to fall safely
Extra variations or drills depending on the group’s pace and energy
This isn’t about “nailing it” — it’s about building confidence, strength, and calm from the ground up.
Hands-On Support, Always
You’ll receive plenty of hands-on adjustments and 1:1 feedback throughout the session. You'll be fully supported — physically and emotionally — every step of the way. This is a space to feel safe, ask questions, wobble, and grow.
Why Practice Headstand?
Headstands offer so much more than just a physical challenge:
Boosts circulation and reverses blood flow to the brain
Strengthens shoulders, arms, and core muscles
Stimulates the lymphatic and endocrine systems (hello, natural energy boost)
Encourages focus, patience, and calm
Builds trust in your body and teaches you how to stay present — even when things feel upside down
When life feels unpredictable, headstand becomes a practice in steadiness and breath — helping you meet challenge with clarity.
About Your Teacher
With further study in anatomy, I’ll guide you through this practice with an emphasis on understanding your body. You won’t just be told what to do — you’ll learn how to create stability from the inside out. Expect thoughtful progressions, simple breakdowns, and an atmosphere of curiosity, exploration, and support.
